From Resistive to Capacitive: The HMI Upgrade

For years, industrial HMI panels used resistive touch technology, reliable, but limited to single-touch input with a stylus-like interaction. Modern Cermate HMIs now feature Projected Capacitive (PCAP) multi-touch panels, enabling the intuitive gestures operators are already familiar with from smartphones and tablets.

• Pinch-to-zoom, operators can zoom into trend charts, P&ID diagrams, and process graphics without navigating menus
• Swipe navigation, faster screen transitions and page navigation
