Water Treatment Automation Overview

Modern water and wastewater treatment plants are highly automated, pumps, valves, aerators, chemical dosing systems, and filtration processes are all controlled and monitored by PLC and SCADA systems. Operators supervise the entire plant from a central control room SCADA workstation, while remote pumping stations have local HMI panels for on-site monitoring and control.

• Chemical resistance, IP65 minimum; IP67 for chlorine room and chemical storage areas
• Communication, 4G LTE or fibre connectivity for remote SCADA telemetry
• UPS/battery backup, for uninterrupted operation during power failures
• Long MTBF, 50,000+ hour components; remote sites cannot be visited frequently
