Avalue Launches EPC-TWL Fanless Embedded System on Intel Twin Lake

Avalue Technology has launched the EPC-TWL, a fanless embedded system powered by Intel Twin Lake processors. It pairs low-power efficiency with industrial-grade ruggedness and onboard TPM 2.0 security, targeting industrial automation, smart retail and edge AI workloads that need reliable long-term deployment in constrained or harsh environments.

Intel Twin Lake, fanless by design

The EPC-TWL is built on Intel Twin Lake — the Intel N150 by default, with N250 or Core 3 N355 options — in a completely fanless chassis. Based on Avalue's ECM-TWL SBC, it carries onboard TPM 2.0 for hardware-rooted security, and a wide 12/24V input with ATX power management for flexible field power.

Memory, storage and connectivity

The system accepts a single DDR5 4800MHz SO-DIMM up to 16GB, with an M.2 Key-B 2242 SSD plus an internal 2.5" drive bay for high-capacity storage. Industrial connectivity includes dual 2.5GbE RJ-45 (Intel I226-V), two RS-232 COM ports, and front and rear USB (USB 3.2 Gen2 and USB 2.0). Dual display is supported via DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.0b, each up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz, with dust-protected antenna mounts for wireless modules.

Built for harsh, long-term deployment

In a rugged 177 x 127 x 57 mm chassis, the EPC-TWL is validated for vibration, shock and drop and operates across 0–60°C, running Windows 11 or Linux. The fanless, sealed-port design makes it a dependable edge node where moving parts and dust ingress would shorten service life.
