Avalue Launches HID-2146 AI-Ready Medical Panel PC for Medical Imaging

Avalue Technology has launched the HID-2146, a 21.5-inch AI-ready medical panel PC built for advanced medical imaging, AI inference and intelligent clinical applications. It joins Avalue's medical panel PC range as an all-in-one platform for hospitals and clinical environments that need dependable, long-lifecycle computing at the point of care.

Intel Arrow Lake U computing with NVIDIA T400E imaging

The HID-2146 is powered by the latest Intel Arrow Lake U Core Ultra processor, pairing strong computing performance with improved energy efficiency for modern healthcare settings. It is also compatible with NVIDIA T400E GPU cards, adding the graphics performance needed for high-resolution medical imaging in applications such as ultrasound systems, surgical visualization, diagnostic imaging and endoscopy.

AI-ready expansion for medical imaging workloads

Designed as an AI-ready medical platform, the HID-2146 provides PCIe Gen3 x4 expansion optimized for AI inference and medical imaging workloads, giving system integrators flexible options for AI acceleration and edge computing. Its low-power, quiet and reliable all-in-one design suits the long medical lifecycles expected of hospital and clinical deployments.

Built-in video capture and extensive I/O

To connect directly to medical equipment, the HID-2146 includes a built-in video capture card for high-speed, high-resolution video input from medical imaging devices. Connectivity is broad, with 1 x Intel I226LM 2.5GbE LAN, 6 x USB 3.0 Type-A, 1 x USB Type-C, 1 x COM port, a PCIe x4 expansion slot and an IET expansion slot for flexible peripheral integration.

Engineered for clinical safety and hygiene

For safety in medical environments, the HID-2146 offers optional 5KV isolation through an IET board, supporting isolated LAN, USB and COM connectivity. The chassis adds Front IP65 and Rear IP54 protection together with a white anti-microbial finish to help meet hygiene and infection-control requirements in healthcare facilities. The platform is certified to CE, FCC and Medical UL.

Optional modules for smart healthcare

Avalue offers a range of optional modules so healthcare providers and system integrators can tailor the HID-2146 to each deployment, including NFC, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, a camera with array microphone, a soundbar, a barcode scanner and a backup battery.
